US ARMY DROPS INTERNATIONALLY PROHIBITED BOMBS IN AFGHANISTAN TO KILL PEOPLE

US-led forces during an air patrol in Afghanistan.

Afghan officials say the US-led NATO forces have been using internationally prohibited bombs against civilians in the war torn country.

Last week, over 60 Afghan civilians lost their lives during NATO airstrikes on residential areas in the eastern province of Kunar.

Afghan studies on the unexploded munitions have revealed that each weapon is a combination of cluster and penetrator bombs.

The studies say once the combination bomb breaks into 20 pieces before it touches the ground.

Each piece then transforms into a penetrator warhead which burrows into the soil, causing an underground explosion. The device creates shockwaves that resemble an earth tremor.

The blast kills every living thing within a small radius of its explosion.

An experimental US weapon called Dense Inert Metal Explosive (DIME) has a relatively small but effective blast radius.

A recent US Department of Health and Human Services study has found that the shrapnel rapidly induces cancers in people.

The sturdy comes as thousands of Afghan people have so far lost their lives due to military operations by foreign troops since the 2001 US-led invasion.

Afghan officials including President Hamid Karzai have repeatedly called for an end to attacks on civilians.

Civilians are the main victims of the US-led military operations in Afghanistan.

THE US SENATOR URGES PAKISTAN TO RELEASE RAYMOND DAVIS

US Senate Foreign Relations Chairman John Kerry has urged Pakistan to release a US Consulate employee who shot dead two Pakistani citizens last month.



The US senator met with Pakistan's Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani as well as Interior Minister Rehman Malik over the issue on Wednesday.

Kerry said on Wednesday that Washington and Islamabad are signatories of Vienna Convention of the 1961which “creates diplomatic immunity” and urged Pakistan to abide by the rule.

The US has boosted pressure on Islamabad over the detention of the man identified as Raymond Davis and has threatened to withhold 1.5 billions of dollars in military and other assistance to the Asian country if it does not set Davis free.

More doubts were raised when the US State Department initially announced that Raymond Davis is an “incorrect name” despite all the official documents he was carrying under this name.

Pakistani police have pressed charges of espionage against Davis, saying he is an employee of the notorious US security firm Xe/Blackwater, working in Pakistan under the cover of the so-called war on terror.

The case has exposed divisions among Pakistani officials. Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi was forced to leave office after he allegedly refused to declare Davis as a diplomat.

Qureshi highlighted the significance of an “honorable and dignified way” of dealing with the problem and stressed that “dignity of Pakistan and its people” should be protected.

But Fauzia Wahab, a senior member of the Pakistan People's Party, said on Tuesday that the US national enjoys diplomatic immunity.

The case has flared the anti-US sentiments in Pakistan to an all-time high, particularly after the wife of one of the victims committed suicide over fears the murderer may not be brought to justice.

Why Fauzia wahab is trying to protect that alleged rather it would be more appropriate to say 'Criminal'? What our Government is doing on this issue? nothing but sleeping and trying to give full support to Davis - "The Criminal" under the pressure of US Government. What role can we play on this issue is a point to ponder upon.

'FBI INTIMIDATING ANTI-WAR LEADERS

Leaders of the anti-war movement in the US say they have been threatened and intimidated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).


The FBI raided the houses of several anti-war leaders in Minneapolis and Chicago, searching for evidence of their alleged connection with terrorist groups in Columbia and the Middle East.

Subpoenas have been issued for 11 anti-war organizers to appear before a Grand Jury and they may be indicted for what the FBI calls 'material support for terrorism.'

In a press conference, anti-war organizer Joe Iosbaker denied the accusations, saying the activists have done nothing wrong.

"All we ever did was work against US military aid to … Israel and Columbia … and if the US government wants to call that terrorism, we're all terrorists," Iosbaker said.
Anti-war leaders believe the raids and the subpoenas constitute what they call 'harassment at the highest levels.'

An anti-war group Code Pink says it is frightened as it might be the next FBI target.

"It's shocking, it's outrageous, and it's scary," founder of Code Pink, Medea Benjamin said.

The timing of FBI searches is considered suspicious as they come just a week before a coalition of 40 anti-war groups have scheduled to hold demonstrations in Washington to protest at US President Barack Obama administration's war in Afghanistan.

This shows the true face of FBI that what its working for.Infact people all over in USA are striving for peace but their Govt itself doesnt want peace in the world.It is an eye opener even for the people of america that they must wake up and stand against the wrong policies of their Govt.

ISRAELI NUKES WILL SPARK MIDDLE EAST ARMS RACE

Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa has warned that the Middle East will head towards an arms race should Israel maintain its nuclear weaponry.


Speaking at a press conference in New York on Friday, Moussa stated that "It is inconceivable that only one country in the Middle East has nuclear weapons. Why should Israel be the only one?"

"There should be no nuclear power in the Middle East. We need to ensure that the Middle East is free from all nuclear weapons," he added.

His remarks came after the International Atomic Energy Agency once again voted against a resolution that called on Israel to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Under the nuclear ambiguity policy, Tel Aviv neither confirms nor denies it possesses nuclear weapons.

Former US President Jimmy Carter has said Israel has between 200 and 300 nuclear warheads.

Arab states say there can not be genuine peace in the Middle East until Israel abandons its nuclear weapons.
Now the main point to focus here is that why US being a super power at present is not pressing israel to abondon its nuclear weapons.

BUSH TEAM WANTED IRAQ WAR FROM START

Declassified documents have revealed that advisors to former US president George W. Bush had focused on justifying a new war on Iraq as soon as he took office.


Official document released on Wednesday shows that a few hours after the 2001 attacks on the Twin Towers in New York, the then Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld spoke of attacking Iraq.

Papers posted by the Washington-based National Security Archive show Rumsfeld discussing war plans for Iraq just two months after the 2001 US invasion of Afghanistan.

In memos dated November 27, he had listed justifications for the war on Iraq.

Iraqi military action against the US-protected enclave in northern Iraq, discovery of ties between former Iraqi dictator Saddam and 9/11 or recent anthrax attacks and disputes with UN weapons inspections were among the possible scenarios.

The documents released under a Freedom of Information request also show that White house claims of Iraq pursuing a nuclear weapons program based on confiscated aluminum tubes were also fabricated.

It was stated in the two State Department memos to then Secretary of State Colin Powell that "The news was released even before a preliminary assessment of the tubes".

In one of the memos it was written that "The announcement had to be made "in our advantage" and it was important to "get the right story out" about the tubes".

After the invasion, the Iraq Survey Group determined that the best explanation for the tubes' use was to produce conventional 81-mm rockets; no evidence was found of a program to design or develop an 81-mm aluminum rotor uranium centrifuges.

ISRAEL SLAMS OFFER FOR DENUCLEARIZATION

The Israeli nuclear agency has once again criticized efforts by Arab countries to push Tel Aviv into becoming a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).


In a speech delivered on Tuesday, Israeli Atomic Energy Organization Director General Shaul Chorev blasted what he called "continuous ill-motivated efforts to single out and to condemn" Israel.

The Israeli official's reaction came in response to a non-binding resolution, which urges Israel to join a global anti-nuclear arms treaty.

Arab states introduced the resolution at this week's annual assembly of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The "proposed resolution is incompatible with basic principles and norms of international law," Reuters quoted Chorev as saying in his address to the IAEA gathering.

As a staunch supporter of Tel Aviv, Washington has warned Arab countries to withdraw the draft resolution, saying it will jeopardize direct talks between the Palestinian Authority and Israel.

The UN nuclear watchdog has so far refused to ratify any resolutions to condemn Israel's nuclear activities. This is while Israel is widely believed to be the sole possessor of a nuclear arsenal in the Middle East.

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano recently reported to the agency's Board of Governors about the Israeli nuclear program, saying that Tel Aviv was restricting the agency from examining its nuclear potentials.

The report called on Israel to join the NPT and "place all its nuclear facilities under comprehensive IAEA safeguards," with no enforcement measure.

Now point to ponder upon here is that why Washington is unable to persuade israel to shut down its ever increasing nuclear proliferation.The only answer to this question is US never wanted and still never wants to disarm israel from nuclear weapons as they heve especially been designed to be used against the Muslims.

On one side US is putting a lot of pressure on Iran to stop its nuclear proliferation and on the other hand has left an unleashed dog to continue with whatever it is doing.We strongly condemn this act of israel

WEST SEEKS TO DIVIDE AND CONQUER MUSLIMS

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman says the enemies of Islam seek to create discord among Muslim countries to continue oppressing them.

If Muslim countries unite to confront the aggressions against the interests of the Muslim world, they can become a great power and prevail over Israel and its supporters, Ramin Mehmanparast said on Wednesday.

"We believe that there is an ulterior motive in the conciliation scheme between the Zionist regime [of Israel] and some of the Palestinian groups," Mehmanparast told ISNA regarding the upcoming Palestinian-Israeli peace talks.

He added that Israel is trying to change "the heavy international atmosphere" and put on a "peace-seeking face" after attacking a Gaza-bound aid convoy in May.

"Some Arab countries are trying to establish peace in the region and we welcome any effort that can ultimately resolve the issue," Mehmanparast said.

Considering Israel's actions, however, we believe such efforts will be fruitless because Tel Aviv does not respect any principles and does not stay true to its commitments, he added.

Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA) will resume peace talks on September 3, after they broke off in December 2008 following Tel Aviv's deadly attack on the Gaza Strip, which killed more than 1,400 Palestinians.

The talks will resume amid concerns that further concessions on the part of acting PA chief Mahmoud Abbas could lead to an intensified violation of Palestinian rights by Israel.

ISRAELI GROUP DISTORTING WIKIPEDIA INFO

Wikipedia has turned into a key source for Israeli citizens and all of them refer to it," reported the website.The ever-increasing popularity of Wikipedia has made the Yisrael Sheli group start operating in the online encyclopedia network to advance 'Jewish and Zionist interests,' according to IranianUK.com.Yisrael Sheli is offering training courses to teach Israeli citizens how to post information of their choice on Wikipedia, reports IranianUK.com.One of the founders of Yisrael Sheli says Wikipedia pays no attention to the viewpoints of Israeli people, especially the right-wing views.Since the very early hours of the Israeli military raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla on May 31, Wikipedia released information which did not square with Israeli interests, she says.Wikipedia, for instance, wrote that those who came under attack during the raid were peace activists while Tel Aviv believed their action was provocative, she underlines.Naftali Bent, Director General of the Yesha council which oversees the resettlement of Jews in the West Bank, says he supports Yisrael Sheli's activities.For example, he says, there is a map of Israel in Wikipedia which does not include the West Bank and the Golan Heights.
But the reality is, he says, the majority of Israelis regard the West Bank and the Golan heights as part of their own land.
